Brompton T Line Ceratech is the brand’s lightest-ever geared bike at 7.95kg
Brompton has launched the T Line Ceratech, with a claimed weight starting at 7.95kg, making it its lightest ever geared bike.
While its standard titanium T Line bike comes in raw titanium colour, the Ceratech frame is surface coated with Cerakote, a thin film ceramic coating available in a range of colours, so there are now black and bronze coloured Brompton T Line frame options. You can also choose the standard titanium bike with purple parts such as the folding mechanism.

Cerakote is used for cars, aeroplanes and rockets by companies including Lamborghini, Boeing and Blue Origin. It’s ceramic-based and Brompton says it’s stronger and 62% lighter than its standard paint finish.
You can choose between Brompton’s four speed and 12-speed gearing options and low or mid-rise handlebars for the T Line Ceratech bike.

The T Line comes with a carbon fork, carbon handlebars, a carbon crankset, a carbon seat post sheathed in steel and a carbon-railed saddle. Even the pedals are 15% lighter than Brompton’s standard pedals fitted to its other bikes, helping to achieve a weight figure that wouldn’t look out of place for a performance road bike.

Cerakote finishes are already used by a handful of other cycling brands, including Niner and Silca, with Cerakote, the company, claiming that it’s durable and wear resistant, as well as hydrophobic, helping to keep road grime at bay and making cleaning your bike easier. It’s also resistant to chipping and scratches.
The Brompton T Line Ceratech will be available from 27th March, on Brompton’s website as well as from Brompton stores and selected Brompton retailers.
