How to watch the Amstel Gold Race 2025
The Ardennes week kicks off in flamboyant fashion this weekend at the Amstel Gold Race. Yes, the days of riding on cobblestone roads are over and done with, allowing the race calendar to turn its focus towards the green hills of Benelux.
Named after the popular Amsterdam-based beer, the men’s and women’s Amstel Gold offer a tricky lasso-like profile through the Netherlands’ hilliest province, Limburg. Clocking up a total of 157km for the women and 253km for the men, the Amstel Gold will be decided by the climbs of the Cauberg, Bemmelerberg and Geulhemmerberg.
Last year, Marianne Vos managed to fly under the pre-empted arms of a celebrating Lorena Wiebes to take the shortened women’s race in chaotic form. Later that afternoon, Tom Pidcock banished his Ineos woes to take his only road victory of 2024 ahead of Marc Hirschi and Tiesj Benoot.
This weekend, the start list is even more star-studded with Remco Evenepoel back on the start line of a WorldTour race in 2025. Alongside him, we’ll see 2023 winner Tadej Pogačar and a vengeful Wout van Aert go tête-à-tête up the Cauberg. In the women’s race, Demi Vollering makes her return to road racing after a month-long hiatus, with Elisa Longo Borghini, Lotte Kopecky, Pauline Ferrand-Prévot and reigning champion Vos all expected to be in contention.

With a stacked start list for the women’s race and the first chance to witness Tadej Pogačar go head-to-head with Remco Evenepoel this year in the men’s race, you won’t want to miss the grand overture to the Ardennes Classics this Easter Sunday.
The 2025 Amstel Gold races will be available to watch in the UK on TNT Sports 2 and Discovery+ from 12:00 on Sunday 20th April. The women’s race comes first, with the broadcast expected to finish at 13:30, then the men’s will be broadcast straight after on TNT Sports 2 and Discovery until 16:30.
Over in the USA and Canada, the racing will be available on FloBikes from 7:00 EST. In Australia, both races will be broadcast on SBS On Demand from 21:00 AET. As for Europe, free-to-air coverage will be provided on the Flemish platform Sporza and the Dutch national broadcaster NOS. Otherwise, coverage will be aired on Eurosport and Discovery+/Max depending on which country you’re tuning in from.
If the race isn’t being broadcast in your country or you are travelling abroad, a VPN will allow you to hide your device’s location to access content that is normally geo-blocked. One such VPN provider is ExpressVPN, which is well reviewed, helps users to find free to watch cycling, and costs start from around £5 per month.
