Tour de France bike: Remco Evenepoel’s gold S-Works Shiv TT beast
It’s time-trial day at the Tour de France and that means it’s crazy bike day. And no TT bike is as noteworthy as Remco Evenepoel’s Specialized S-Works Shiv.
Not only is Evenepoel the favourite for the stage win (and he reckons he can take yellow too), but he’s also the Olympic champion so the bike is obviously a gold beauty, and it also features a bonkers 64-tooth custom carbon chainring. Check out the details below.

Big chainring = easier to stay in the middle of the cassette for the flat time-trial.

The custom Digirit chainring is a whopping 64T and is attached to Evenepoel’s 165mm cranks.

He also uses a gold K-Edge chain catcher.

He’ll be hoping to keep the chain around this sprocket for as long as possible.

Evenepoel’s bars are custom carbon fibre, moulded to fit him as perfectly as possible, with his mount and shifter at the end of the extensions.

He’s on Specialized Turbo Cotton TLR tubeless tyres and a 63mm rim with his new Roval Rapide CLX Sprint wheel, which was designed for 28mm tyres.

He uses a Specialized Sitero saddle.

With all the gold it’s easy to forget he’s also World Champion.

Think there might be some Google search value in writing: Remco’s back end.

Just in case he forgets his name mid-ride.

A closer look at that rear disc wheel.
