How to watch the Giro d’Italia Women 2024
The Giro d’Italia Women 2024 will act as the meat in the women’s 2024 Grand Tour sandwich.
The race will last for eight stages. The tour begins with a time-trial in Brescia close to Lake Garda on Sunday 7th July. From there, the percorso moves down the boot of Italy through the Apennines towards Abruzzo where the race will finish with two tough days in the central Italian mountains on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th July.
The reigning champion Annemiek van Vleuten will not return to defend her title following her retirement at the end of 2023. The title is therefore up for grabs. Lidl-Trek enter the race with a bullish lineup including Elisa Longo Borghini and Gaia Realini. Juliette Labous, the runner-up last year, will lead DSM-Firmenich-PostNL while SD Worx-Protime have Lotte Kopecky in Demi Vollering’s absence.
How to watch the Giro d’Italia Women 2024

The 2024 Giro d’Italia Women will be available to watch on TV with Eurosport and streaming with Discovery+ for £6.99 per month with the basic package, which includes cycling and all other Eurosport programmes. In the United States, the same coverage will be provided on Max. In Canada, FloBikes will be streaming the race. There will also be radio coverage in Italian on RTL102.5.
On Eurosport and Discovery+ the race will be broadcast in Italian, English, French, German, Dutch, Spanish, Portuguese, Polish, Romanian, Czech, Serbian, Greek, Bulgarian and Turkish.
If it’s not being shown in your country, you may be able to watch coverage using a VPN – Virtual Private Network – which allows users to mask their IP address and watch geo-blocked content, provided they don’t need to pay for a subscription. This is also helpful for watching paid-for coverage while abroad in countries without access.
One such example is ExpressVPN, which is very well reviewed, helps users to find a way to watch cycling without having to pay for broadcasters services, and costs from £5.36 per month, with three months free. Other options include NordVPN, Surfshark and Kapersky.
