The new facility is in Lane End in the Chilterns Area of Outstanding National Beauty, just outside of London, and is home to the complete range of Factor Bikes, covering road, gravel, time-trial and mountain bikes, as well as Black Inc wheels and components. But that’s not all.
Vires Velo isn’t just a shop, it’s a destination for riders to experience Factor’s bikes. To that end, the new studio will have demo bikes available to book for hour-long test rides in the Chilterns, so customers will always know what they’re getting before they buy. ‘At Vires Velo, we have a proven track record of providing Factor customers in the UK with an exceptionally high-level of service,’ says managing director John Bailey. ‘Our clients demand an experience and standard that is inline with the quality and performance of the bikes they are riding.’
It’s also home of the revolutionary idmatch bike lab bike-fitting system, which is operated by Vires Velo’s team of experienced bike-fitters and is open to cyclists of all abilities and can be used whether buying a new bike or optimising a current one. The most scientific and data-driven analysis ever seen in bike-fitting is applied by idmatch to ensure riders find their ideal setup whether it’s for road cycling, gravel cycling, mountain biking, time-trialling or competing in triathlons.
With demo ride and bike-fits in the bag, Vires Velo’s experts help customers to configure and order their new Factor, with all bikes custom built to spec to suit every want and need of the rider including bar width, stem length, seatpost offset, stack height, saddle height and saddle position as well as groupset, wheels and gearing. Once that’s all sorted, the bike is built in the company’s Norfolk HQ.
