You can now rent ex-pro bikes from Cavendish, Terpstra and more in Flanders

The Flandrien Hotel has teamed up with Bike Rent Manager to offer what it says is the world’s first classic bike rental service. Based out of the cycling-centric hotel and holiday venue, riders can now rent ex-pro team bikes from the likes of QuickStep, Lotto Soudal and Team Sky, ridden by Mark Cavendish, Niki Terpstra, Mat Hayman and more, to take on the infamous cobbles just like their heroes (though perhaps a tad slower).

The Flandrien Hotel also hosts a number of other classic bikes, including the first carbon bike to win the Tour de France, which Cyclist went to visit firsthand back in 2021.

The partnership aims to allow everyone from hobbyists to cycling fanatics to ride the region’s famed routes on bikes that partook in the history itself. The rental collection includes Alejandro Valverde’s Pinarello Prince FPX, resplendent with Campagnolo Bora Ultra wheels and Record groupset.

You can also rent Mathew Hayman’s Colnago C-50 Extreme Power from his early days of racing and, if those don’t take your fancy, you can also choose from bikes ridden by Mark Cavendish, Caleb Ewan, Rigoberto Urán and many more.

The service includes options for recovery wagon mechanics and bike replacements as well as wheel upgrades to give the classic steeds a modern flourish. To find out more, go to flandrienhotel.com.
