The Pinarello F1: Glory within your grasp
The history of Pinarello is one of extraordinary victories. Grand Tours, spring Classics, World Championships, track competitions… the storied Italian manufacturer’s bikes have been a permanent fixture on the top step of podiums for decades. But for everyday road riders looking for the next level of speed and comfort, cutting-edge performance is often frustratingly out of reach due to the cost involved.
Not any more. Now, the heritage-laden Italian bike brand has revealed its new £3,000 Pinarello F1 – a bike packed with the DNA of the company’s world-beating Dogma and one that’s fully equipped to propel you to victory, whether that’s a KoM, a road sign sprint or a simple Sunday beasting of your riding companions.
In the frame for victory
The Pinarello F1’s frameset hits the sweet spot between full-on attack-mode performance and joint-cosseting comfort. Constructed from unidirectional T600 carbon, the F1 continues Pinarello’s proud history of material research and development to deliver a frame not only built for speed but also one that’s optimised for comfort, absorbing road vibrations so all you feel is the sensation of rapid progress.

Like its more expensive F-series stablemates, the F1 also features the brand’s ubiquitous asymmetric frame design to compensate for increased stresses on the drive-side of the frame. And up front there’s the distinctive shape of Pinarello’s Onda fork – a component that celebrates its 25th anniversary in 2025 – for precise steering, reduced longitudinal and lateral shocks and enviable stability on the road.
Measure up to the competition
The F1, while easy on the wallet, is hard on your competitors. Its F-series frame is packed with winning ingredients, not least its performance-focussed geometry. Mimicking the dimensions of Pinarello’s range-topping Dogma race bike, the F1’s handling is a real highlight. Phenomenal steering accuracy comes courtesy of short fork trail, while relatively short chainstays keep the wheelbase short and allow more immediate transfer of power. Its short stack/long reach geometry stretches you out over the front end for maximum aero gains too.
As with other F-series models, the F1 offers 30mm tyre clearance to take advantage of the handling and comfort benefits of low-pressure, high-volume tyres, and because Pinarello offers the F1 in a choice of nine frame sizes, you’re all but guaranteed to find one that fits straight out of the box.

Specced for success
The Pinarello F1 doesn’t compromise on performance, and neither does it hold back on its components. That T600 carbon frame is UCI-approved, and features fully integrated cabling, while the F1 is equipped with a full Shimano 105 mechanical groupset. Braking is a particular strength thanks to 160mm disc rotors gripped by Shimano’s famed hydraulic callipers.
A compact drop Jaguar XA Aero TiCr alloy handlebar boosts the cockpit’s ergonomics, allowing easy riding on the bar tops or head-down descending and sprinting on the 125mm-deep drops.
Add to this a Shimano RS wheelset shod with 28mm Pirelli P7 tyres and you have a race-pedigree machine that belies its modest £3,000 asking price and is ideally suited to set your riding New Year off with a bang.
