Rapha says its updated Pro Team Aero jersey is its fastest ever

Rapha says its updated Pro Team collection focusses on the use of advanced materials to provide aerodynamics and low weight for racing.

It claims the new design for the Pro Team Aero jersey saves an average of 7.8 watts across its testing at 32, 46 and 58kmh, and saves 4 watts over its previous version at 46kmh.

The Rapha Pro Team Aero jersey is priced at £185 / $245 / €210 / AU$300.

Updated from pro feedback

Rapha

The Pro Team Aero jersey has been designed for hot weather racing, with low weight, high breathability and quick drying. The collar is low cut and there’s protection behind the bottom of the zip to stop it from scuffing your flashy Rapha bib shorts – it recommends its Powerweave Bib Shorts.

The updated Pro Team Aero jersey has benefited from rider feedback from Rapha’s sponsored EF Pro Cycling teams, wind-tunnel testing and feedback from users of previous versions. The jersey was ridden to victory in Paris-Roubaix Femmes in 2023 by Alison Jackson.

Rapha says that its feedback has resulted in a redesign in particular of the sleeves and shoulders. These now use a fabric that Rapha calls Clima, which it says balances compression and stretch to eliminate drag.

Other features of the redesign highlighted by the pros include a close fit without bunching when riding tucked and the added elastic in the pockets to help keep all your stuff in place.

The new Pro Team Aero jersey is available in three colour combos for men and two for women. It’s priced at £185 / $245 / €210 / AU$300. RCC members can scoop one up today; the rest of us will have to wait until 6th March.

And updated long sleeve and training jerseys

Rapha

Part of Rapha’s summer season Pro Team collection, the new Pro Aero jersey sits alongside the brand’s Pro Team Long Sleeve Lightweight jersey and the Pro Team Training jersey, both also redesigned.

Rapha says that the Pro Team Long Sleeve Lightweight jersey can be worn for training in temperatures between 6°C and 20°C and layered up for three-season versatility. It has an updated waist gripper and low-cut collar as well as a zipped pocket at the rear. The jersey is made with fabrics that Rapha calls ‘environmentally preferred’.

It’s available in two colours each for men and women and priced at £130 / $165 / € 150 / AU$215.

Meanwhile, Rapha has also redesigned the short sleeved Pro Team Training jersey, again based on feedback from the pros, to offer comfort on longer and more intensive rides in warm or hot weather. The jersey is made from two different fabrics, with a high stretch front panel, a new waist gripper, low collar and the same ‘environmentally preferred’ fabrics.

There’s more choice of colours here, with seven options for men and a further five for women. It’s priced at £110 / $145 / €130 / AU$180.

Unlike the Pro Team Aero jersey, both these jerseys can be bought immediately by non-Rapha.cc members at rapha.cc.
